When working with me there are four parts of communication that I believe are the root of a healthy sense of self and connected relationships:

self-exploration (what am I experiencing) + insight (what do I need) + vulnerability (heartfelt communication) + validation (I see you/you see me)

Traumatic experiences can create a disconnect from 1 or more of these areas. Disconnection can produce an increase in self and relationship sabotaging behaviors. However, when all 4 parts are present the result is self-clarity, connected relationships, and a supportive experience of life, in other words a shift from surviving to thriving! You deserve to thrive!

If you are ready to embark on this transformative journey towards healing and personal growth, I invite you to reach out and schedule an appointment. Remember, you don't have to face these challenges alone. I am here to support you every step of the way.

human life and life itself is always capable of growth
— Virginia Satir

My therapeutic approach can be described at no-nonsense and direct with a sense of tenderness, humor, and flexibility. While I am not your typical soft-voiced, blank-faced therapist, I will create a safe and validating space for you to step into vulnerability, hang out with the emotions you have been running from, and find your voice to express your needs.

My structured approach draws from various evidence-informed modalities such as:

  • Relationship Therapy: The Gottman Method of Relationship Therapy

  • Systemic Therapy: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Humanistic Therapy: Satir Change Model

  • Trauma Informed Approach: Internal Family System (IFS)

By combining these approaches, we can tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs and goals. Through our work together, you can expect to gain insight, develop resilience, and cultivate a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships.
